"RESONANCE"
“In sonorous atmospheres and in a context of vegetation… forms from the pictorial establish a network of protection towards the environment and towards oscillating nature…”.
Maria Gloria Echauri (Malola).
The “Matices” Art Gallery is decorated with recent works by visual artist María Gloria Echauri (Malola).
Malola takes the renewal of the cicada, vegetation and the natural environment as a theme and starting point in her new project.
Among the techniques used, on the one hand, he uses painting on porcelain where fragments of fossilized cicadas can be seen, depicted very clearly and brightly in black on white surfaces.
On the other hand, the author uses acrylic on canvas to highlight abstract atmospheres in transparent brushstrokes of both cold and warm palettes. The compositions in the works occupy the entire visual field, highlighting the vegetation as a base and support for the cicadas.
Throughout the exhibition, visitors can see installations, paintings and series where the observer appreciates the preservation of vegetation and the natural environment in each “resonance” marked out in this itinerary.
