Collection: "Under the Moon" Exhibition
Matices Art Gallery is honored to present “Under the Moon”, a new solo exhibition by the master FÉLIX TORANZOS.
Curated by: Alban Martínez Gueyraud
📅 Opening: Friday, October 10, 7:00 p.m.
📍Cruz del Defensor 241, Villa Morra – Asunción
Toranzos opens new avenues of exploration under an unavoidable thematic axis: the moon, understood as an inspiring force, archetypal symbol and creative catalyst.
The exhibition at Matices, which brings together recent drawings and paintings (graphite, ink, acrylic and intervened digital prints), highlights the experimental spirit of the artist.
His career has consistently intertwined painting, drawing, architecture, and art history.
For the curator, Alban Martínez Gueyraud, “The moon transcends its role as a simple motif to become a creative genesis, a driving force that shapes all artistic thought.”
Toranzos' works, rich in plant evocations and with direct references to Selene, Artemis and the romantic tradition of Caspar David Friedrich, become portals under the silver light, where "memory dialogues with shadow".
